Every day in Australia, perfectly good food goes to waste while millions go hungry. OzHarvest exists to change that. 

We rescue surplus food and deliver it to charities feeding people in need. Right now, demand has never been higher. More Australians than ever are struggling, and our partner charities are overwhelmed. One in three people seeking help never thought they'd need it—parents skipping meals, pensioners choosing between medicine and groceries.

Across the ACT region, our yellow vans reach communities across Canberra – from Gungahlin and Belconnen, throughout the inner North and City, down to Weston Creek, Woden, Tuggeranong and across into Queanbeyan, supporting 65 charities with 30 more waiting for food.

But we do more than rescue meals. Through our education programs NEST and FEAST we teach communities to cook on a budget and empower students as food waste fighters in the Canberra region.
