Last year, 3.4 million households in Australia struggled to put food on the table. The rising cost of living is the number one reason people are struggling. The charities we support tell us they could take double the amount of food to meet demand. There are new faces every day turning to them for food - many ashamed and embarrassed to ask for help. James who runs St Albans Community Youth Club in Victoria, and receives food from OzHarvest every week, told us, “For the first time in 10 years, we’re struggling to feed everyone.” We’re working hard to get nourishing food to people who need it most.
