I’m fundraising for OzHarvest to help them Nourish our Country!
The rising cost of living, including increased food costs, means that every day over half a million households in Australia are struggling to put food on the table. And those with children are the hardest hit.
This November I am undertaking a huge challenge to support their vital work and will be trekking throughout Vietnams northern mountain region of Sapa, through villages and rice paddies.
And as we take on this mountainous terrain, we will be helping to fundraise for a world where no food goes to waste and no person goes hungry.
Every $1 donated to OzHarvest will deliver two meals to people in need through their food rescue program. Their fleet of yellow vans are on the road every day, saving good surplus food from ending up in landfill and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need across Australia.
In training I am walking at least 10,000 steps per day and will add extra activities as the year progresses including chilli eating competitions!!
