An Awesome Partnership...
In 2019, IHG Hotels & Resorts launched a national partnership with OzHarvest. The aptly named ‘Awesome Partnership’ has seen the two organisations team up to help build a sustainable food culture through tackling food waste and creating opportunity and employment pathways to vulnerable youth.
That helps do good
By supporting our food rescue operations, IHG prevents good food from their hotels and resorts from going to waste. Any surplus food from their properties is collected by us and delivered to charities who support people in need. IHG are also a proud supporter of our Nourish Program which provides young people facing barriers to education and employment with a qualification in hospitality.The program trains students to achieve a Certificate III in Cookery and gives them the opportunity to gain on-the-job training at IHG hotels through mentoring, hotel visits and work experience.
