I count my lucky stars each day to work for this amazing organisation that is making such an impact in the community. I have seen first hand the difference the food deliveries make to those who are doing it tough - it can't be underestimated the how much a meal can provide care, dignity and nutrition to those who may otherwise go without.
Thats why I am committed to fundraising at least $3500 to help OzHarvest, which will enable the delivery of 7,000 meals to those in need across Australia.
Of course, every meal delivered also means that good food is diverted from landfill. Food going into landfill is a huge contributor to dangerous greenhouse gas emissions, with 10% of all emissions impacting climate change coming from food waste.
At a time when the rising cost of living has seen the need for food relief significantly increase, your support is more valuable than ever.
On any given day, over half a million households in Australia are struggling to put food on the table, with those with children are being hardest hit.
